Could it get any better?!. Last year’s color, Ultra Violet, snuck its way into my life (and found its way onto my Girlfriend Maxi Dress!) and I am so excited to see what this year’s color brings. It’s definitely a color that we will see lots of this spring and summer so I wanted to give you a head start on some ways to elevate your wardrobe this year with this years Pantone color of the year: Living Coral

...Because everything is better with your favorite pair of jeans! As a pink-orange, Living Coral pairs GREAT with green-blues and gray-blues, making it the perfect companion to denim. Whether dull or bright, this is an easy color to add to your wardrobe because of how many different shades and tone go with Living Coral. This color compliments greens, blues, blacks, purples, and whites. I am actually most excited to wear it with navy and possibly pop it in with a print like cheetah. Something as simple as a T-shirt and your favorite jeans is a great way to look dressed and still feel like you're in your PJ’s.

This color brings a beautiful pop to any outfit without taking over it as an accent color. Living Coral is the finishing touch you never knew you needed. If you’re feeling shy about it, pop on a pair of coral shoes and everything feels new. Add a coral belt to a navy maxi dress and you’re runway ready; when you find yourself wearing the same thing over and over again… a necklace or earrings become the focal point... #instantoutfit! A bag is always a great way to add color in your wardrobe when you’re just starting to dip your toes in. It makes a statement without having to over commit. Adding just a splash of this aquatic color can take you from seaside drab to underwater fab.

Living Coral is great b/c it looks great on most skin tones and worn in the right way can be THE outfit. It’s feminine and adds a pop to our closets which are admittedly filled with blacks blues and whites. Wear a coral duster jacket and no one is looking at what’s underneath: it’s an outfit!; switch out your LBD for a LCD… don’t you just feel happier! The added pink tones scream feminine energy and will take your outfit to the next level. Wear it with jeans or put on a coral dress with a pair of heels to steal the show at brunch.
